Little Light Home Care has developed a new program for seniors suffering from anxiety, depression, confusion and isolation that is often associated with Dementia and Alzheimers. This program not only helps the person diagnosed, but the family as a whole. Our caregivers are fully trained to provide support and assist seniors with the disease.

We know our loved one may be finding it difficult to balance recovery or rehabilitation following an illness, injury, new mothers or surgery with the everyday things you need to do, our staff is ready to serve. Our staff is geared to help our clients improve the recovery process while ensuring that all daily health care needs are met.
Recovery from surgery can be challenging because of the limitations associated with the healing process. Our caregivers will provide any additional support required during this time.
Little Light Home Care provides post-surgery care to help people move into new phases of recovery by encouraging mobility through walking and exercises. This will strengthen muscles, and promote a range of motion through joints.

Palliative Care
When a loved one is in Palliative care, it is a difficult time for the patient and their families; it represents an inability to cure the illness that has taken hold of the patient. At Little Light we work closely with our clients to enhance their quality of life as much as possible. Our caregivers are trained and experienced in performing multiple duties contributing to a comprehensive care program. Our responsibilities as Little Light Home Care is to maintain the same standard of care with all our clients.
Our responsibilities for ensuring proper, compassionate care include:
- Personal care assistance
- Constant monitoring and assessment of patient symptoms
- Medication reminders
- Assisting with the physical needs of clients around the home
- Assisting with food preparation and housekeeping
- Assisting with the physical needs of patients around the home (activity, getting around, etc.)
- Recording and documenting valuable information for assessment
- Assisting in care of pets or children under the patient’s guardianship
- Monitoring equipment to ensure continued treatment effectiveness
- Assisting with food preparation and home upkeep
- Complying with the code and ethics of all caregivers
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is one of the most difficult illnesses also referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease”, it is a degenerative disease that affects the central nervous system and impairs the ability of the brain to control the movement of muscles as a result, additional care becomes more essential for long-term care plans.
The effects of ALS can be overwhelming to everyone involved, however, medical treatments do ease muscular cramping and fatigue.
